Honda Insight has been known as Hybrid cars that have great performance, Insight was the first Honda cars that came with a hybrid in the U.S. For 2019, Honda Insight will be the best hybrid cars from Honda. Let check out what makes that thing happened.
2019 Insight Overview
Honda characterizes the 2019 Insight’s styling as “universally appealing.” While that might be optimistic if, for no other reason than no vehicle universally appeals to everyone, there’s no question that this is a good-looking car.
Highlights include the emerging signature “flying wing” grille, LED headlights and taillights, and what Honda calls a “coupe-like” roofline. The Honda Insight Prototype shown at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show has a handsome set of machined-finish aluminum wheels,
Honda expects that the Insight will offer “best-in-class passenger volume.” Because the battery pack is housed under the rear seat, the new Insight seats 5 people while providing a standard-size trunk. A 60/40 split-folding rear seatback expands utility. Interior design is reminiscent of the Civic, but because Honda is positioning this as a premium upgrade to that popular model, expect more upscale materials and detailing.
The new 2019 Honda Insight looks great, with a long hood and fast windshield and rear window. The looks of the grille and narrow LED headlights and taillights are consistent with other Honda sedans. Honda’s U.S. design studio styled the Insight.
For Powertrain, The next-gen 2019 Honda Insight will use Honda’s third-generation, 2-motor hybrid drivetrain. It’s composed of a 1.5-liter, Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine that serves primarily as an onboard generator, an electric propulsion motor, and a Lithium-ion battery pack.
Honda promises fuel efficiency that is competitive with the best vehicles in the segment, and that means it will get more than 50 mpg in combined driving. One reason is that Honda anticipates that in most driving conditions the car will operate on electric power only.
Pricing for 2019 Insight
The 2019 Honda Insight will be priced a bit higher than the Civic, likely starting in the low to mid-$20,000 range. The primary rival for 2019 Insight is Kia Forte, Ford Edge, Lamborghini Urus, and Subaru Impreza.
